A career in the foreign service of Canada has given me a taste for travel that only gets sharper as time goes on. Retired now, I live in the wonderful city of Bangkok and wake everyday with the sense that life is a journey to be enjoyed as I saunter along the way. This blog will be mostly about my personal travels over the last couple of years but I will write about any subject that I would like to share.

Shrine at Our Apartment
This is the shrine at the entrance to our apartment building. The garlands of marigolds are there to honour Buddha Day. The tables with the offerings of fruit are especially placed there to mark the beginning of the Chinese New Year.
